Scott Smallwood is the Production Manager for Vertex Refining Alabama, overseeing all operations and logistics at the Vertex refinery in Mobile, AL. 

With a strong background in process engineering leadership and economic modeling, Scott has spent the last decade serving on the Mobile Refinery Site Leadership Team as the site Technology and Engineering Manager. His expertise in managing refinery technical support, capital projects, and turnarounds has been instrumental in driving sound business results.

A graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Scott's commitment to excellence was recognized as he graduated Magna Cum Laude and served as the president of the Chemical Engineering Honor Society - Omega Chi Epsilon. He continues to contribute to his alma mater as a member of the Chemical Engineering Alumni Council.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Scott finds joy in family life, being a devoted husband and father to a son and daughter. He takes pride in supporting his children's sporting events and indulges in his passion for hunting and fishing.
